The ACN story is over 14 years in the making…and counting! Today, ACN is the world’s largest direct seller of telecommunications services, and is one of the world’s leading direct sellers among all industries, having serviced millions of satisfied customers in 19 different countries on three continents…and ACN is continuing to grow.
ACN launched operations in January 1993 in Southfield, Michigan, as a long distance agent for a company by the name of LCI International, positioning ACN to take the lead as their consumer sales and marketing arm. LCI was later purchased by Qwest Communications for $4.4 billion, and ACN represented an astonishing one-third of LCI’s business.

ACN’s international expansion started in June 1997 when operations were extended into Canada. ACN continued its international expansion on European soil in 1998 with the launch of its operations in the United Kingdom. The ACN European headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, opened its doors in 1999. This facility became the company’s stronghold for further European expansion, with Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark becoming operational in quick succession.
During the summer of 2001 Norway became the next edition to ACN’s robust presence in the Scandinavian region. The following year witnessed further European expansion of ACN into Ireland, Austria and Italy, and the company’s explosion into the mobile services market of the Scandinavian region.
